Take 22

See The Documentary of the Film You Will Never See

Some filmmakers go through a lot of film to capture that one moment of cinematic magic. For producer Todd Hunter (Chris Pina), that magic proves as elusive as a free lunch in Hollywood. This documentary, in the tradition of “This is Spinal Tap” and “Best in Show,” humorously examines the world of independent filmmaking as production on “SEQUESTERED” spirals out of control. The producer finds himself grappling with difficult actors, an eccentric director, an angry screenwriter, dwindling production funds, and the mob—among other issues.

After a casting session disaster, Miles (Overton) brings his off-Broadway cast in from New York. These sensitive thespians begin to unravel when next-door neighbor Mr. Finney (Thomas) shows up and reveals that their shooting location was the site of a mass murder. Adding to the complications is a menacing screenwriter (Wilson) who keeps appearing despite being banned from the set for threatening the producer with violence.
